Something Unusual That Happened That Day

Hey world! This is the last blog entry for the Blog-Creating Assignment. Hope you guys find this one interesting.

Life is so ordinary that rarely unusual occasions occur in our lives. However, sometimes weird things do occur...such this one unusual occasion which happened when I was on my way home from floorball training a few days back.

It was a cooling evening and I was walking home from the bus-stop. I was very tired as I just had a tough floorball training session. Mr Amir, our coach, had been in a bad mood and had tortured us throughout the whole session. I longed to lie down on my soft bed and fall asleep soundly as soon as I reach home.

As i was daydreaming while dragging my feet towards home, I suddenly noticed a small figure up in the distance. It was a young adult and looked about the same age as I was. I squinted my eyes and realised that he looked just like my friend, Desmond. Or should I say my enemy. As I came closer, I frowned. It was Desmond. He was holding a present and was looking around for someone. Curious, I called him.

"Yo Desmond! Why are you here? You don't live in this area. Scram will ya?" I said boldly. "Oh there you are! I was looking all over for you!" he smiled and started walking towards me. "Huh? Wh-what?" I said blankly. "Well you see, in the past, we've been quite mean to each other and we did terrible things to get back at each other..." "You killed my father!" I shouted. He stared at me in disbelief. "Sorry, it's just a cool phrase that I thought I'd try saying," I said cheekily, " You were saying...?" "Yes as I was saying," he continued,"I want to make it all up to you by giving you this," he indicated the present. "Take it," he added. I stared at him in disbelief. My enemy is just about to hand me a present. That is so weird! "Did you hit your head or something?" I said. "No I didn't" he said impatiently. "Take it!" He shoved the present in my arms and left immediately. I was stunned. Without thinking I called to him, "Hey Desmond, thanks!" He didn't look back but just continued walking. I felt a chill rush down my spine and I shivered.

Instantly, I ripped open the present on the spot, hoping it was something valuable. Well, there was something inside but it was neither valuable nor useful to me. It was a stuffed bunny. I was speechless. I began to recall everything that had happened. I was on my way home happily before my enemy appeared all of a sudden and handed me a present with a stuffed bunny. Okey...that was wierd. Freaked out, I shook my head and went home, the stuffed bunny in my arms.

Something That Took Place In School

Hey all! Here's my next blog entry. One more to go...

Holidays were supposed to be the times when we forget about school and just slack and enjoy life for once. However, during the holidays, I had to go back to school for my floorball training sessions. Let me relate to you an experience that I had over the holidays...

I was rather excited. The floorball team was going to have a friendly match today against Coral Secondary School. It had been a long time since we had a match and I was looking forward to it. I wanted to see how much I had improved since the last match we had.

Half an hour later, our opponents arrived. They were huge and looked strong even though they were the same age as us. I looked around at my teammates. We weren't as big and as physically strong as our opponents. They would certainly have an advantage. Nevertheless, I was confident that we could win if we played our best and as a team. We would certainly not hold back and would give it our all!

Our coach, Mr Amir, shared tactics with us before giving us pointers and good advice on how to play the game. We were lucky to have a good coach like him. Since the day we had started playing floorball in VS, he had nurtured us and developed us from harmless ducklings into fearsome wolves!

We took our positions on court. We were ready to take them on. Mr Amir, who was refereeing the match blew the whistle. The game began. The match was intense. Rough tackles were unleashed and many players were shoved hard. Nevertheless, we kept our composure and gave it our all. I tried to remain calm and played to the best of my abilities. They were a strong team but we were the better team.

Eventually, the final whistle was blown and the match was over. We were elated to have won the match and beat such a strong team like Coral despite the physical advantage they had over us. Even though I hadn't scored any goals, I had contributed to a few of the team's goals and was satisfied with my performance. I guess we managed to come out tops because we were a much bonded team and we continuously encouraged one another. This match was a wonderful experience and I learned much from it. Alone, we are harmless but as a team, we are deadly. Teamwork is the key to success.

A Moment Spent Alone Doing Something You Enjoyed

What's up guys! Third entry for the Blog-Creating Assignment.

I never realised that I could enjoy myself even if when I'm feeling lonely, down or bored. It's not often that I'm left at home alone. But today, I had arrived home early and realised that my parents were still at work and my siblings were not yet home from school. I was alone and feeling rather lonely.

However, I wanted to enjoy this lonely moment and make it worthwhile. Therefore, I got out my new headphones, connected it with my phone and started to listen to one of my favourite songs. Listening to music helps me to relax and be in a peace. I also decided to get out a piece of paper. Suddenly, I was in a mood to do some drawing! I realised that it's been a while since I last drew a picture and I started drawing the first thing that I had in mind. I don't really mind what I was drawing. Instead, I will focus more on how the picture would turn out later.

I nurtured the picture with utmost care, colouring it and did some touching up. After a while, I stood back and observed my masterpiece. Satisfied and delighted with my my work, I kept it in a file, where I kept all my first-rated drawings.

I found it a good way to spent the afternoon alone, doing something that I enjoyed without interference. It was a rather good way to relax and put aside all the hard work and stress that we got from school!

A Problem You Encountered And How You Solved Or Managed It

Hey it's me again! Note: Everything in this post is true. Please don't think that I made it all up...

Have you ever been in a situation where you are up against an uneasy problem and it's rather hard for you to resolve it? Well, I have been in that situation loads of times. Let me relate to you a problematic moment that I would never forget...

It was a Thursday morning and I was having science lesson. As usual, Mdm Nabilah was going on and on about the circulatory system and I was bored and sleepy. I had slept quite late the night before due to the many homework that i had to complete. Actually, there wasn't that much homework but I took too many long breaks while I was doing them! After a while, when she had given us a ten minutes break, Joshua walked over to me and asked me if I had completed the English summary. My eyes widened. What English summary? Then it struck me. I realised that I had forgotten to complete the English summary assigned by Mr Maran!

Whoa, I started to panic! Instantly, I tried to do the summary when Teacher wasn't looking. I did not want to get punished from the Discipline Master. However, her sharp eyes caught sight of me not paying attention. She marched towards me and to my utmost horror, she confiscated my half-completed summary and warned me not to attempt homework in class again or I had to suffer the consequences. I was dismayed and couldn't concentrate on the lesson. I could feel my heartbeat pounding on my chest.

Soon after, the bell rang and the lesson was over. I rushed to Mdm Nabilah before apologising to her and promising not to do it again. I started writing furiously on the worksheet after I got it back from Teacher. I hoped that I would finish it in time. I even prayed that Mr Maran suddenly did not feel well and couldn't come to class! However, my hopes were dashed when I saw him approach the class with a stern face. He was in a jolly mood that day but I was worried and hoped he had forgotten about the homework.

After what seemed like years, the bell finally rang. The lesson was over. I heaved a sigh of relief. After that moment, I promised myself that I will never procrastinate or do things at the last moment. I will try not to be so forgetful and will do my homework with diligence. I may have gotten away this time but I have a gut feeling that I won't be so lucky the next time. Phew, what a relief!

A Special Moment You Enjoyed With Your Family

Hey homies! THIS IS MY FIRST OFFICIAL BLOG ENTRY!

Everyone's busy. Me and my siblings have been busy with school while my parents are always at work. There's always absolutely no time where we could all spend some quality-time together, as a family. Well today, I'm really excited. We decided to take a break and go overseas so that we could have some fun together. I was thrilled when I heard that we would be going to Genting Highlands!

We packed our bags and left in the afternoon. It was a tiring journey to Genting and I was glad when we arrived there at night. It was so cold up there! Thank goodness I had remembered to bring along a jacket. We checked in the hotel before having our supper at Marybrown. The next morning, we woke up early and scrambled down to the entrance to the Outdoor Theme Park. We rushed in with great enthusiasm to play the games found there. Thankfully, there was not many people at that time and we managed to have some fun on many of the games. About midday, more and more people started to stream into the Theme Park and we got quite frustrated when we found the queues to many of the games really long. You have no idea how long I'm referring to!

On one occasion, I and my father was filled with enthusiasm and we wanted the most breathtaking and thrilling ride yet. Thus, we planned to take on 'the Big Thing', the Corkscrew, which is the largest, scariest and fastest roller coaster there was there. My siblings were nervous and chickened out. However we managed to persuade them to join in the fun in the end. The ride was amazing and I was satisfied and and happy to have gotten the opportunity to have taken it.

Well, good things have to come to a close and the day was almost over. Despite being worn-out from all that fun, we reluctantly left the Outdoor Theme Park to have dinner before we left for Singapore. I really enjoyed the trip, partly because the games that we played were spectacular, nothing that can be compared to the games found here! But most importantly, I'm happy that I managed to spend this priceless moment with my loved-ones. Enjoying yourself with the ones that you love, that's something I could never exchange with anything in the world. I hoped we could spent more time together in the future. It's something that we all enjoy doing together.
